Evening walk from Shibuya Scramble Crossing to Harajuku’s Takeshita Street in Tokyo, Japan.

Shibuya, a special ward in Tokyo, is known for its iconic scramble crossing. Located in front of Shibuya Station’s Hachikō exit, this pedestrian crossing is famous for halting vehicles in all directions, allowing a flood of pedestrians to cross the intersection simultaneously. With up to 3,000 people crossing at each light cycle, it’s recognized as one of the busiest pedestrian intersections globally.

The Hachiko statue in Shibuya stands as a touching tribute to the loyal Akita dog known for his unwavering devotion to his owner, Professor Eizaburo Ueno. Erected outside Shibuya Station, this bronze sculpture commemorates Hachiko’s daily vigil, waiting for his master’s return long after the professor’s passing.

Harajuku, a district in Shibuya, is the epicenter of Japan’s youth culture and fashion. The area is particularly famous for Takeshita Street, an alley filled with trendy shops, cafes, and fast food outlets. Just south of Takeshita Dori lies Omotesando, a tree-lined boulevard that houses variety of shops ranging from high-end fashion brands to unique local designers.
