The only British-made fighter plane operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, the de Havilland DH.100 Vampire. This model is based on the Vampire T.55

The version seen here, the T.55, is a trainer. Japan received only one T.55 trainer in 1955 for evaluations.

It should be noted that it still retained its armament, so although it’s a trainer, it in theory, could still fight.

Interesting find there. I had to look that one up as I figured they would have operated more UK fighter aircraft.

    How is the museum itself?

That’s so bad ass. I would hope for more military pictures. wonder what is cost to maintain that old plane.
