[Music] I’m in Osaka the city also known as Japan’s kitchen Osaka is home to some of the best food in the world and I want to sample the best food I can here along the way I’ll see some of the most extravagant restaurant designs anywhere and try some of the most iconic food you can find in Japan stay tuned for a tasty video [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I have just arrived in Osaka also known as the kitchen of Japan and I’ve literally only just arrived I still got my backpack on but before I do anything I’ve not eaten all day I had breakfast you can see it’s now evening and I want to get some food so I’m heading for dobur dobur dobur an area in uh in oaka well known for street [Music] food the streets of Dot and bu come alive in the evenings and the giant screens on buildings illuminate the various restaurants in the [Music] area this is overwhelming right now ah it’s there’s a million things to look at but I’m still just after food right now [Music] I feel like I need about eight pairs of eyes to take this all in and there’s so much food to choose [Music] from many of the restaurants had giant models of the food they sold above the storefront and I ended up finding my way to a local place that sold Taki Yaki octopus tempura and green onions covered in a crispy and gooey batter [Music] I’ve actually actually already had one I couldn’t wait it’s really good it’s so good you pick one up and it just almost just bursts with flavor everything that’s inside it oh M so creamy everything inside is just oozing as soon as you take that fish bite in I can’t describe it but I mean it’s it’s so good oh and it feels so good after a whole day with no food look at that oh amazing [Music] [Music] so the cheapest piece of Kobe beef they have at this little food store is uh 500 yen for one piece of sushi I’m hoping this is good Kobe beef okay thank you this is red meat wow thank you thank you the city of Kobe is just 30 km from Osaka and it’s here where its namesake beef comes from from from the Tajima strain of Japanese black cattle it’s one of the most expensive and rarest Meats in the world cheers that really is so good I mean that was the cheapest cut they had and it was just one piece of sushi and it still tasted amazing no joke it was genuinely delicious so now we got to find a dessert [Music] you [Music] I got [Music] Ms I don’t want anyone trying to argue in the comments that this isn’t traditional Japanese dessert Pikachu was in front of it so it doesn’t get more Japanese than that uh so I I feel happy with with my choice holy moly what a donut look inside oh thick creamy filling amazing it’s squirting out everywhere look I think this could get messy oh this is one of the world’s great Donuts honestly the flavor like it hits you you chew a bit it hits you again and then a third time so generous with the filling amount unreal donut one bite left I’ll be very honest I was expecting that just to be a bit of a standard donut and I just have to play up how good it was for the camera I don’t do that lost for words so good Osaka food wow incredible what a what a first evening here what an amazing sample of the food Delights in Japan I’m in Food Heaven already thanks for watching let me know in the comments below what your favorite Japanese food is and make sure you subscribe to see new videos every week
