[Music] we are in Tokyo they do require you fill out a declaration form I have English versions available if you don’t speak Japanese but they’re right here at the baggage claim so make sure you get those before you leave we have just arrived in Tokyo and this is Cindy’s first time first time in Japan yes we just got off an A&A flights and it was really great you’ll have to check out the video we just posted that one last week this video is going to be all about our stay in Japan we’ve got 20 hours here and our first thing to do is find our way to our hotel so we are here and we have to go to this mon rail which is on level b1s now just so everybody knows this map is available as soon as you walk out of the arrival exit area so just come across the hall look at the map and there’s a sign monoral going down by International we’ll see you tomorrow we’re basically just going to follow the signs until we find the monoral this train it says goes every 10 minutes so monoral straight ahead let’s go since this is Cindy’s first time in Japan ever she’s really excited I’ve actually been to Japan before if you’re interested in knowing a little bit more about that visit you’ll have to check out our web page we’ll leave a link in the description as well as the comments monoral is down there was another escalator that went from the floorway on before all the way down too so super easy to get to it smells good down here yeah it smells delicious down here if we didn’t already have food plans we would definitely stop here that looks and smells amazing a little map of all the floors on Terminal too took us right to the montal very easy first thing we want to talk about is we came off with the ES Alors there’s an ATM right there I’ll tell you about that in just a moment why it’s so important came over to the monor rail and we’re not actually able to get on the reason is because we haven’t figured it out everything’s in Japanese and it’s really hard for us to figure out because we need English so we tried to do is buy monoral tickets with those machines right there but they’re not taking a credit card so we went got cash out of the machine and we now have a 10,000 Yen bill but we need it’s like 540 Yen per person so that’s 2,000 Yen so it’s not working out exactly the way we want it but we’ll keep trying okay so there’s an English will be displayed in English monil we’re going here wait okay printing a receipt you want to go back though no one ticket yeah let’s insert the put that in 10,000 let’s do it see what it does what what if we don’t get the money back then we’ll be very upset hopefully we get money back yep okay so that worked so they do have it in English it was a little confusing for us we’re going to do one moreid displayed in English that’s M and receipt so just insert a th and that is our receipt that’s how it comes out tickets are small lots of change we’re going to let Cindy insert it first and see what happens they do have a little sign that says right here oh okay my turn so we’ll need this when we exit I think yeah thank you so much thank you well we got through that fairly easy just a little bit of confusion but here we go where we are this is the last stop on this train so this was our exit we had to get off uh but this is the stop we wanted to get off anyway because it’s right by where the hotel is it’s a little confusing especially if you’re tired from a long flight and not paying attention but we want to make the most of our time in Tokyo because we have such a limited time here 20 hours really isn’t a whole lot of time especially when it takes you 30 minutes to get from your from the airport to your hotel and that’s taking a train our first look at Tokyo we’ve got this orange Tower is that the tower Tokyo Tower I don’t know it’s pretty cool though this is our hotel let’s go inside and check it out check that out look at these guys waiting for us are we at the right place hello can we have English please welcome to Hotel thank you please use the T to language please select your checkin meod check in by name please enter the name you use to make the reservation yesy is please check the reservation detail they keep moving ever so slight but they do if you not a Japanese reing please get your ready [Music] please scan your passport page with pi on device please pick your passort please sign the white frame on the screen thank you please wait a moment okay the payment machine will issue your room card what please select the number of cards please wait a moment card is issued right there your is now complete we hope you have a hot they have Hotel amenities here uh night gown hairbrush razor body towel cotton swabs oh night gown please take whatever you need from the mini Corner bring your own toothbrush and green tea are available in your room so there you go going up here’s information let’s go we’re on the ninth floor they provide slippers for us which says something in Japanese disinfected they are disinfected that’s so sweet that’s awesome make sure you take your shoes off this is our room TV just came on it’s it’s tiny so basically it’s just a bed and a desk and a TV and then the bathroom’s over there there is a safe oh that’s cool there is a safe that’s really convenient tea they provide that check out the restrooms oh there’s a tub very cute toothbrushes are in there and plenty of soap also and if you have any questions about how to operate the toilet they have directions we have everything in the room yeah we’ got things to say the first thing we’re going to see is something pretty popular here in Tokyo so we’re really excited about showing [Music] you just to give you a clue where we’re going trying to figure out this train situ ation and it’s kind of confusing there’s a lot of trains here in Tokyo and so trying to figure it out it’s confusing at least they have it English in a lot of places so it makes a lot easier and we think we figured it out but we’ll see there’s a TR somehow we figured it out our train found it there’s this Viewpoint here this is a dream come true we’ve always wanted to come and check out shabuya Crossing it’s pretty fantastic to be here in the middle of this [Music] crowd oh look this is it right here right now and of course everybody’s got to get their pictures in lots of people with lights and cameras and the whole work everybody’s getting their pictures in because shuya is a really popular place to go and get photos and videos and all that other stuff what we’re doing is we’re going to the Starbucks that’s overlooking it what you got to do is come to this window get your coffee and go inside to go up the escalator to the second floor we got our copies let’s go up so what we want is a window overlooking Shibuya Crossing let’s see if we can get that oh can also order up here did not know that here it goes I feel like people just walk over there just to walk back yeah and to walk just a block away there is a noodle spot we want to check out for dinner basically this is the dish you’re going to get we’re looking forward to it but considering they’ve been doing it since 1960 I like those odds okay we have finally made it to the door so we’re almost inside but as you can see there’s still little bit of a weight it’s another way it looks like you can order paper ordering we’re going to find out when we get inside though okay you have choices on language of course we’re going with English and then this talks about what you have select set menu or customize so let’s try and figure this out what we’re going to do is we’re going to get just the Classic we’re adding a soup so we’re going to split the pork and we’re adding one egg total is going to be 25 and we’re going to pay these are your payment options we’re doing a credit card receip that’s a receipt and this is what we’re getting wow lots of receipts they have these sheets for you to pick your specifics on how you want everything and then these are the tickets for our food they put in the order there as soon as they have a table open they’ll we’ll go in there check it out they show you which spots are available so I think we’re going in next 16 and 17 will be our tables 16 and 1 here we are super simple so we’re putting our things here cups for water and then thank you water chopstick do that a little bit of information for anybody who wants it yes I know it’s in Japanese but they also have this which is also in English so you can order extras and if you want to ask for things like it’s noisy i’ like a kids bowl and utensils I don’t know the ordering process I’m leaving my seat for for a moment just to let them know what’s going on wow look at that I got look at that check out the inside of this egg delicious thank you that’s the way it’s supposed to be who’s happy I’m happy that looks amazing what do you think does it look good yum all right we’re digging in thank you all set all done that was so good I would come back here again in 10 minutes if I could fit it in talk about it what oh wow so first of all the broth first of all the broth I know we did modify it our own way a little bit but the broth I think even without the extra garlic and the seasonings and spices and everything like that was already amazing but then we added that it made even better yeah the broth though they ask you how you want it so you get just specify everything about it and then the they also ask you about the noodles how You’ like them cooked it’s really quite amazing to be able to make it to your specifications which is really nice yeah and it was just oh so good delicious now let’s talk about that pork pork was amazing really really glad we got that but pork was like tender like melt in your mouth tender really was so good but what else the most favorite part was the egg and it was funny when we were standing in line we were just getting a set with one egg yeah and Eddie said that’s all we need and I was like I’m not sharing my egg with you that was such a bad idea I’m glad we got the second yeah so we each had our own egg and it was so worth it they so amazing like that I’ve never had an egg that tasted like that before I am in love with Ramen seriously in love especially right here in Tokyo if you are even in the area for a 4our 5 hour layover get out in some Tokyo come here get some Ramen it’s worth it next we don’t really know what we’re doing we’re just going to walk around a little bit and check out some of the night life to see if there’s anything worth filming and showing you I mean it’s Tokyo so I’m sure there’s something but then again it’s been a long day maybe not looks like this area has a lot going on so we’re going to walk in that direction to see if we can see anything exciting or maybe see what kind of nightlife is happening I wanted to pause real quick and check out these machines they have these all over the city but vending machines like that are very popular here in Japan you can get a variety of different things they do have a nightclub right there a couple of different stores that are open and then continuing down this street there’s more activities a lot of people hanging out tonight so you know that is a lot going on very busy night life and this is a Tuesday so it’s not too bad it’s an interesting bar and definitely busy right now if your layover is shorter than hours they do have lockers available to store your stuff throughout this city and they are located in places like the Metro or right here on the street we keep finding all these side streets and alleys that have all these Quirk quirky little spots to walk yeah then you go down and there’s records on the wall another interesting looking establishment I especially like these ones that have like the wood paneling and the the lantern lights and this is an Italian restaurant this is amazing we just keep finding all these cute little spots oh W that’s really cool check that out they have a standing sushi bar so you stand there and eat your sushi and I’m going to say those are some really good prices for as good as this Sushi is going to be yeah Welcome to Tokyo I think that’s going to be it for tonight obviously there’s a lot to do so we’re going to go do some running around but we have an early morning another video to film for you so come
