From here, take a good look at the shape of the street lamps. Yes, those are beer mugs. Because we’re in Ebisu, the site of an old brewery. And it’s also the name of a famous beer brand. Across the street, a surviving house between the towers. Poor little thing. (;o;) On the left, Keio University (Mita) In the background, somewhat obscured by buildings, is Tokyo Tower. Today, we’re going to leave it alone with its tourists. On the right, the Hama-Rikyû Garden. A must-see. All this construction on both sides, is the old Tsukiji fish market, now relocated to the artificial island of Toyosu. Tsukiji-Ohashi bridge This part is for Pros only! 😉 OK, from now on, we’ll be riding exclusively on artificial islands in Tokyo Bay. And islands mean bridges to climb! On the right, a sports complex with a park, the Garden Step. On the left, a highly effective noise barrier. You can’t hear the traffic at all! Yes, yes, we’ll climb that bridge too. (^o^;;;) In the background, the Rainbow Bridge On the left, the modern buildings of the Toyosu Poison Market. We’ll take a tour of the island in another video. On the right, Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai, restaurants, baths, etc. Plenty of things to have a good time. Another bridge (Ariakekita) In the background on the right, with the curved roof, is the Ariake Coliseum, a sports Arena. These are high-traffic roads, and to get through the junctions, there’s nothing like… a bridge! Here, they’ve had the good idea of building parks parallel to the road. It’s a bit of a relief. Some white hydrangeas The Ferris wheel is Kasai Rinkai Park. And just behind this park is Tokyo Disneyland! Tokyo Heliport Tokyo Bay This is Shinkiba Ryokudo Park For helicopter enthusiasts Wakasu Island. In the middle is a golf course, and around it, a beautiful bicycle path. Here, a whale shark (blue silhouette) . We’ll see them better on the way back. Tokyo Gare Bridge, aka Dinosaur Bridge. Here, Wakasu Park, a campground. You can BBQ here. Just a sec… I’m going to fill up with water. It’s already close to 30°C, and it’s barely 10:30. A giant squid on the road! Mermaids! Dugongs Tuna Narwhals Blue whale Humpback whales Manta rays Whale shark OK, going backhome from here. There also a "surprise" à 2:42:40. It even happens in Japan… Hope nobody was hurt.
