[Music] Welcome to our Japan video and Vlog Series where we were kindly invited by Riviera travel to join them on their best of Japan tour where we spent 12 nights exploring Japan our Series starts in Tokyo where our first hotel is the New atani Tokyo Garden Tower in this video we discuss location facilities and give you a tour of our allocated room and we let you know was this a good St start to our tour let’s start with breakfast which was included with Riviera travel there are four options available two of which offer more Western options these were the two that we chose first there’s the Garden Lounge which comes with a stunning view of an ornate Japanese garden and the teror restaurant which gives you an unparalleled view of Tokyo and if you’re lucky on a clear day you can even see M Fuji as you can see there was lots on offer from Asian to Continental as well as some English items too Carol is always far more adventurous than I am choosing items such as bulling soup and Japanese cures while unsurprisingly I went for eggs toast and some of the excellent pastries that were on offer lunch and dinner at the hotel was very expensive and was not included as part of the tour however there are lots of much cheaper cheaper alternatives within easy walking distance of the hotel we will be covering these in future videos so make sure you’re subscribed it’s free and it means you won’t miss a thing from a location point of view the new atani hotel is perfectly placed situated in the Choda district there are bars restaurants convenience stores and a train station just minutes away we even found a British pub called the mermaid so now let’s give you a tour of our room right then so we’ve been staying in 5026 at the Newan Tokyo Garden Hotel haven’t we PA Morgan we have so let’s show you around this fabulous room where would you like to start should we start in the bathroom PA Paulie’s favorite place yes right star in the bathroom you’ve got um a shortish bath probably long enough for Cara not long enough for me and a nice powerful shower up there and what I like as well I’m not a fan of showers that are in the bath but there’s lots of handrails so that’s good towels there don’t don’t you be pointed down there yeah you got loads of space to work with here and a nice size sink and lots of amenities as you can see here skin care sets um toothbrushes and you get provided with toiletries too but this is Paul’s favorite part let’s talk toilets this has got a lovely heated seat it’s got two two settings one’s bday one’s spray when you’re happy with where that’s bad a or sprayed you can press the stop button when you sit on it automatically deodorizes to counteract the the Mr pong it’s got um it’s got settings there for the powerfulness of the water jet and it well it’s just fabulous and as you I don’t Point down toilets but it’s got two holes and when you flush that seems to come in through one hole and go out the other it does I can’t believe how much time we’re concentrated on aour with the toilet but it’s fabulous so let’s show you around the room so straight opposite the toilet you’ve got a large double wardrobe and you’ve got a really good size safe which has been fabulous you’ve also got access to laundry services if you want it slippers and two fluffy dressing gowns you’ve also got a little deodorizer spray that’s the first time we’ve seen that is it and look at the space we’ve got we were told that Japan hotel rooms are notoriously small well not at the new aani cuz look at all this space it’s been absolutely fabulous you get provided tea and coffee facilities and the kettle actually sings to you when it’s ready doesn’t it it doesn’t it’s like a it’s almost like um you know like a rice maker if you look inside it’s not like a Catal I’ve seen before because it’s got like a thing inside and once you’ve boiled the cow it actually stays hot for quite a long time so which is like a quite a good energy saving thing you’ve also got a fridge a good size fridge where you get two bottles of water complimentary water per day uh over this so you’ve got where your coffee and tea facilities are and there’s your stuff there as I’m sure you know we bring our own it’s got a Telly with tons of channels there’s film channels there’s news channels obviously there’s a lot of Japanese stuff as well but they from a from an Eng speaker there’s plenty on there to keep you occupied should you so wish to watch the TV while you’re away exactly you’ve got a lovely sitting area here we’ll show you the view in a minute cuz it’s pretty amazing and by the side of the bed on this side you’ve got a clock and a radio and some lights and you’ve also got some um electric sockets pause you just show that little extender there well not extender adapter this was provided by um reception for us we’ve got two of these provided by reception that fits are Universal plugs so but we’ve got adapters ourselves but if you do forget them then it’s nice to say see that the newali provides that the beds low if you notice everything this room is quite low to the ground it’s like it’s built for short people like me but even I’m I’m thinking it’s very low but the bed’s been comfortable isn’t it PA been comfortable but like you said if I sit there on the bation of how how low it is but even the bathroom the sink’s quite low isn’t it but if you fall out of bed it won’t be a bad thing cuz you a up far to fall exactly and then you’ve got two drawers here which are so decent sort of um they’re pajamas there sort of ropes H we haven’t used that we’ve been only in this room for two nights so we’ve been sort of living out of our suitcases there’s all our merch there so do check out our shops you all done there nothing else nothing else you want to show anybody the view the view look at this oh what was that electric Shar look at that and if paully points down you can explain exactly where your favorite Pub is that’s it right sat Healthcare building to the left of that is a little street that goes all the way down you can see a few people hustling and bustling down there now yeah and that’s where you’ll find the mermaid as we’ve explained before so this has been a great choice in in Tokyo hasn’t it poly can I just say as well yes as you can see down on the river there’s a few people that go about and Rowing boats but just like we expected from Japan everything is scrupulously clean and that River I mean obviously you’re getting a lot of reflection off the trees which makes it look green but there isn’t one scrap of rubbish in that River or on the street Tokyo has just been amazing it’s fabulous so make sure you check out all our other videos [Music] too oh
