[Music] hello and welcome to Cal Sand Road the most famous Road in Bangkok was told that uh I should come here it’s great night Street Market and uh I’m here so we’re going to have a walk through so weird oh God right I’ve just started and uh the weirdness is already here you take photos or videos you have to pay 10 B but I won’t be taking too much video look at that there’s bloody snake there’s baby snake they’ve even got uh baby snakes fried beetles fried Grasshoppers and all of that sort of stuff Bri insects sck with uh hello I sick with the uh fried chicken I think mango smoothies again 50 B well what do you know what do you know that’s all right 50 bar for mango sticky rice all right those prices look all right don’t know about them bloody fried snakes there was it was literally a baby snake like literally and it just come out of the air and they fried it up it’s on a stick squiggly wiggle Le on a stick no thank you so this is it this is Cal San Road what do you reckon we have a restaurant in Sydney called caland and they got a lot of the uh stuff from caland I don’t know if it’s original uh signage and street signs and whatnot it’s quite a nice restaurant slightly on the high of price but it’s quite nice this is it I’ll be very typical of any other market we’ve seen on our Journeys through Thailand very similar lot of uh nightclubs it’s kind of uh it’s kind of a bit reminiscent of uh puket in a way to bangal Road so far you know there’s a lot of clubs and music and uh it’s quite Lively and it’s only early it’s early for Thailand 7:30 that is pretty [Music] early massages as usual you probably can’t hear me for the music [Music] [Music] laughing gas I should have had the camera spun around the other way they’re selling laughing gas I noticed they sell that a bit over here the old helium is that helium yeah helium you know when you take helium probably not all to say it don’t worry your voice goes funny very high pitched so so far very typical of the usual uh got a bit of a wi angle sugar cane 50 bar man I’m dying for a bloody drink now look at this joint here look at [Music] that that’s said Bry that’s a pretty nice Road hey it’s a pretty impressive Road it’s very noisy look at don’t light noise maybe don’t visit caran road if you don’t mind a bit of action bit of noise few Market stores bit of food you can see all around me all the people and right off the bat as you seen there’s some Weir bloody [ __ ] from the start scorpions are the things that I think they than you crunch splatter squirt tattoo joints for this hna it’s a hna tattoo massages everywhere there’s your usual clothing what else have we got anything else weird wonderful I’m quite happy though that it’s not raining the rain would uh kill this that’ll be the end of it there be no one here and uh shops that all pack up and go home but it’s not raining minimal massage tattoo sensor by eight tattoo I’m thinking of get the tattoo not while I’m here not on this on this Mission not on this holiday cuz I don’t want to be uh down and out I want to slee on my right arm so like from my wrist up to my uh so like from the wrist up to an in and out of here sort of thing ttoo I want to get um I was like try I’m bit not sure exactly what I want but I definitely know when I get the black I want black like Japanese black cuz it’s black tattoos and then there’s Japanese black and it’s like black black black I don’t believe it really changes color you know some of the other blacks in that it starts to fade and go a little bit funny looks like it needs to be topped up apparently the Japanese Black is Black probably like maybe not lifetime but long long long time let me know actually if you have a tattooo and it’s the Japanese black please let me know if it’s real real black and if it’s longlasting so yeah I’m not iffy I don’t know about the pain and I don’t know I definitely won’t be getting it in this um on this holiday so I just don’t want um I don’t want the arm wrapped up for 3 weeks or whatever it is in in uh the Philippines to be jet uh like jetting around the Philippines from Ireland Island and I don’t want that thing wrapped up a lot of food what do you reckon we get I think um as usual I think a drink is in order God it’s so noisy hello it’s so noisy you know I love these sticks you know these skewers she got chicken one here she got a chicken pork all that sort of stuff 20 b oh this uh lady here’s got pad to with eggs a 60 bar chicken 70 bar hello she’s waving see some people are really nice oh most people are really nice not some most some get a bit funny on camera that’s all right just hide away I’m not really trying to emphasize on the human face I’d rather be filming the food hey this oh [ __ ] look at this hey this is bloody good look at these These are fresh ones these might be the I wonder how much I might [ __ ] the bust of the laughing gas that was a laughing guas hey look see he’s got oh yeah all right they’re sucking on there oh God what is this joint that’s weird don’t think I we doing that I remember I remember in Years Gone by when we’ve had heli and balloons do you remember um the old heli and balloon birthday parties and that and you you oh this is going to be funny the hel and balloon and well there goes the voice you sound like a cartoon character man there’s a lot of food now back to the old um a [ __ ] what do I get pad tie Good Old Pad tie I haven’t had too many of those while I’ve been here this year I don’t think no not too many oh no oh God just seen oh God I can’t unsee that now right we’re going to go over and have a look so all these people get out of the way let’s have a look oh no so it’s a CR remember we seen one in the shopping center the other day well it’s alligator I don’t know the bloody difference crocodiles and alligators they’re all things that you don’t want to have to uh contend with or probably eat and have you eaten alligator or crocodile right down there yes I have eaten crocodile or alligator what does it taste like and I’ve seen it when it’s uh I see the meat there and I see it when it’s cooked and it looks like fish yeah I know it’s a reptile isn’t it it’s like a big lizard type thing not a lizard but you know what I mean does it taste a little bit like fish if you’ve had it is the texture I think the texture would be like fish I don’t know about the taste I don’t know if I want to go and try it I’m in an iron not tonight I don’t want to I’m not I’m kind of adventurous oh jeez Jesus now just seing something else oh hello oh here he is oh it’s lost you hang on there you are [Music] hello good stuff some of them like being on the camera now I just seen something I’ll tell you you know how I started up the other end I seen the bugs remember the bugs it’s um uh she’s got to I don’t she said don’t take photos she’s already under me God they’re on it oh if you if you take photo you got to pay 20 bucks I’m just vlogging I’m not taking any photos I’m just walking down the street we got to have a little bit of freedom I know they want to um tell you what you can and can’t do with filming but some can typically no you’re even allowed to film the police anyhow I get off track and I get on my uh bloody Soap Box things like that cuz it sort of annoys me it annoys me but you’re walking along and all of a sudden you see something weird hello love you got scorpions you got roasted F deep fried freaking scorpions and snakes and [ __ ] tarantulas and everything there do you think people aren’t going to want to have a look and take a photo and now you got a thing that says no photo any just going on as usual I don’t know what do you think of that do you think that that’s fair on uh us it’s most of tourists that are probably going to film it or photo it but what do you think do you think oh that’s that’s fair and okay they can they should be able to have that right I’m not filming the lady I was only just generally couldn’t even see her I was just generally filming anyway and the stall she’s there with the thing [ __ ] holding it up pushing go no don’t [ __ ] like the sign that says no photo 20 b if you do just trying to tell me to pay it 20 b it’s all right love you’ll be right you’ll sell three or four scorpions maybe uh it won’t be me I won’t be buying it no way oh no scorpion oh another scorpion lady oh snake [ __ ] she tried to sell me snakes she got the snakes on the street you heard of Snakes on a Plane she’s got bloody snakes on the Cal Sand Road he’s got the laughing gas over here BR am I going to get in trouble YouTube saying that it’s only a gas I’m not endorsing anything you do what you want I don’t tell you what to do I’m not your oh usually people in here they say I’m not your financial advisor I’m not your therapist I’m not your doctor no it’s all good in the hood it’s all good it’s a pretty fun place it’s uh roads pretty good it’s not a massive Market this one um when I read the reviews the reviews are very good for it and they do say it’s not massive it’s not a massive Road I’ve walked it in you know just having a sticky beat you walked the whole lot in about 5 minutes there some of the markets it takes you a bloody hour to get through them remember that J fairs that’s a big Market he that J fairs this one’s just one strip two sides one strip up and down but after I’ve had a bit of a look at all the food and the Stalls and stuff then I’m going to um work out what drink and what food I want to have we’ll film a bit of that um I’m also looking at the moon actually I’m also having a bit of a look at what sort of actual businesses are here up there other than stuff on the street got the Muay Thai fell over here um there he is he’s doing his Muay thae boxing kick oh no there’s another fell here with the oh no he’s got the bloody uh scorpions they love their scorpions or do though is this just a tourist thing when they see you with a camera they know you’re on blood of YouTube they always want to he try this bro try this put this on your on your channel but um you won’t really be getting that from me I’m not a Foody as in a Foody reviewer you’ve seen me when I’ve uh been in and ordered something food I show you a little bit of it say you’re all yum thumbs up whatever and uh that’s about it I don’t I’m not really I don’t want to sit there and film me eating the whole lot it’s just uh it’s just that’s not for me some of the dudes do it you know who you are Mr Kai Marco a few others but uh I just film it for just a few seconds and then just say whether it’s all right if I hated it I’ll either probably chop it out or I’ll tell you don’t bother going there but this whole street it’s quite good I recommend it it’s a uh Mr donator recommendation we’re going have to cut this B because of the music music the music is going to kill can’t uh can’t do much with the music hopefully uh hopefully it’s not long enough to have to cut it out bloody hell it’s loud I do love loud music I do love music he on the Note God more bloody spiders and on that note about loving music hang on a minute we’ll just get out of this noisy bit all the bars are here is a section where all the clubs are extremely noisy um TR walk a bit faster holy smoke this section is a video killer it will kill our YouTube videos to’s talking about um s right I haven’t forgotten music again oh no the alligator again alligator in the back all right we’re clearing out of that clubbing area so I was talking about um music who is your favorite musician are you an old school or are you the New Gen like are you a Swifty or do you like uh Michael Jackson or Madonna who do you like my favorite my all-time old school favorites are Michael Jackson and Madonna yay seen both of them live twice and my new age uh my new age fave musician is Katie Perry and Taylor Swift I do have a couple others I like but there so I got two two from old two from The New Age why not I have four I’ve got four I love and there’s many others that I really like so this is a massive bar this uh Rocco here at one end of caran Road bar if you like bars there heaps of bars here oh look right so I found my mango smoothie lady here she’s going to make my mango smoothie for 50 bar hello can I get one mango smoothie please with uh no added sugar no sugar no sugar y oh hang on let’s look yeah yeah the brothers yeah yeah this the pocket three or three yeah same do you like it I like it you like he bought it for me he bought it for you ah yeah for that we’re on hello but you you used wor like better than me much better than me I’m still uh learning yeah yeah y most most of mine’s just set on to Auto it’s mostly just automatic most of it yeah I just Chang I think the uh the um gr what is it the sharpness I make the sharpness just a little bit less so it’s not so digital looking and I change the white balance just down a little bit okay yeah do you like it yeah I like it it’s interesting camera isn’t it yeah and very easy to use easy to use and quite clear yeah very good good quality enjoy no worries you too see you thank you there you go another pocket 3 user it’s DJI pocket 3 that’s what I’m using if you didn’t know what camera I’m using it’s the uh relatively new DJ AI pocket 3 good camera image stabilized uh it’s got a gimbal sorry not yeah gimbal stabilized good cameras not waterproof so luckily I have my new backup insta 360 go3 the Black Edition so I got the black one because I wear it all black I can uh attach it to the front of me and guess what you can’t even see it you can’t even see the camera on [Music] me so you can discreetly film for your YouTube but I haven’t used it yet haven’t really needed to uh maybe in the Philippines I might I don’t know wasn’t that interesting that lady she seen me uh with my uh DJI pocket 3 and just came straight up and she put it up next to me I went oh look brother and sister so it’s was like uh brother and sister cameras don’t see a lot of them I’ve seen a few while I’ve been in uh Thailand not too many they’re relatively new and I guess I’m trying to work out maybe not a lot of people are buying them because of the fact that they’re not uh waterproof at all so if it’s raining don’t let it don’t use it in the rain water’s going to get in to bits and pieces of it and completely stuff it here we go 50 bar oh I give that to you thank you lovely look at that what a beauty great thank you have a good night that’s good and spin this back and look at this m [Music] oh look at that that’s pretty big um that’s no added sugar but it’s pretty sweet but she didn’t add sugar extremely mangoe like really pulpy and not tons of ice some of them put a lot of ice in there and it’s really really watered down 50 B $220 Australian so you grab one of these [Music] [Applause] so that lady that music you can hear in the background you can see that lady uh oh you can’t see her oh you can just see the back of her there so what it is is the uh blind people a it’s the blind Society they organized for their blind people to go along and uh collect you know money they’re all around the place all around Thailand well that smoothie was delicious just come down this little walking Street I think it’s called the Suzy walking Street it’s a nice little uh strip cuts through from calan road across to the next Road this way and it’s very nice in here actually but I’m looking I did see a couple of little shops that had the um Flags remember the onon flag patches I was looking for some them on a Dubai three and she said uh was like 150 bar it’s a little bit a little bit pricey all right so you come out of that between Cen Road and this whatever this must whatever it’s called Suzy walking Street well look at all the trees it’s a street that’s lined with trees lined and covered the trees very dark sort of feel in here totally different to Cowan Road stalls everywhere little cafes and restaurants and uh no clubs I don’t think yeah well not yet cow s’s pretty uh crazy he see what was going on over there this is nice have a look at this look at that up the back there [Music] pretty neat what do you reckon about this this area is very uh what would you say a little bit Boutique like I think it’s a bit Boutique my darling how are you my darling hey this goes on forever I thought it was just going to be some little cut through street from there to here and that was it I didn’t realize that it was everything over here as well and when I get to the end I got to spin around and come back but then it continues to go a little bit further around anyway looks like I’m going to be here for a little while bit longer than I thought I thought cand Road I’d probably come over visit maybe in a half hour grab something to eat and drink buzz off but uh she’s going to be um a full night it’s going to be a full night over here there’s a lot going on very nice in this section over here if you don’t like all that uh nightclub Ruckus over there just come across one more Street just come over cut through the crossing and the Suzie walking Street you see over there at Cal did you see the uh the roads very nicely paved oh that’s a blo that’s a tie Feller see it’s he playing the saxophone in there well that’s you can’t see him that’s him playing that’s live cut through come over here if you don’t like all that uh nightclub Ruckus I don’t mind it it’s just very noisy doesn’t really worry me too much it’s just a bit of a pain in the bum when you filming because then to try and edit if it goes on for too long you got to start editing the sound out F assing around with it you know you’re trying to cut bits of Music out if it goes for too long the AI in YouTube detects that it’s a copyrighted song and I don’t know it’s apparently certain amount of seconds before you’ll end up getting a copyright on it about no no set time apparently there could be like 10 to 15 seconds we’ll pick up the song straight away anyway and then it’ll be like a time time limit any we’ll see when it comes to that we’ll see how we go not worried about that too much now be you just cut that bit out this is uh Cafe Central cafes and clubs well not clubs not really clubs I shouldn’t say clubs they’re not clubs as such C and food they got the usual this the smoothies and all of all that jazz is all over him they’re selling uh there’s a bloke here fellow here selling tickets to standup comedy do you go to standup comedy have you ever been I can’t say I’ve ever been I don’t think so and from accounts that I’ve heard from people that have gone like work colleagues and whatnot they bloody love it they go and they get right into this um standup comedy but I’m not so sure I don’t know depends how long it’s going to go for I guess I mean if it’s 2 hours I don’t know I shouldn’t judge I shouldn’t judge until I go and have a look maybe I’ll go and see one of the uh really famous ones back home in Australia but uh this is the uh Street here so this street is uh it’s called uh it’s a road is to tanon tanon rambat tanon rambat and that runs parallel to kaan road but it is a nice uh change from across the other side it’s got some similar things and then again it’s got some other things StreetWise like street food and stuff it’s a little bit more relaxed I’m happy I walked through I nearly didn’t walk through cuz I looked at it and I thought oh but where it said walking Street Suzy walking Street and I thought well that looks bloody boring I walk straight pass and then I oh hello oh I backed her up look down yep all right well it kind of looks a bit nice and dark and cozy down there I did the walk oh here’s this fell with the uh standup comedy he speaks good English I know that I heard him talking to uh some tourists I don’t even know where it is I don’t want to go tonight second last night second last night in Thailand God this is night 15 of 16 nights and then uh jetting off on a plane to Manila Tuesday 12:20 p.m. more scorpions spiders and all that [ __ ] I just uh just can’t get into my head a whole bug thing how you eat the bugs I don’t know how many people eat these bugs what are they they do with them at the end of the night they got a lot of them fried up do they sell them again tomorrow or do they redo new ones I mean who would want to eat a cooked tarantula let alone eat one tomorrow that’s been sitting somewhere in a fridge overnight what do you reckon they do with it I don’t even do they Turf them or I don’t even to be honest I don’t even want to ask because then she’d try and sell it to me and then I’d be videoing and she’d want me to pay 20 bar and then I’d end up in all sorts of [ __ ] here’s the old passport bags they call them passport bags the fell here is uh hanging in the uh lettering you get your name or you get whatever you want put in on it for 100 B that’s standard rate see that 100 bar there that’s naria there they’re quite nice actually um see that so you put your passport in send that’s your passport and uh put it in there you can put credit cards it’s got a little slot for credit cards and things as well one free name and One logo 100 B $440 Australian it’s actually not bad they look pretty good I always sort of eye those off when I see them my I am off and uh never end up buying one I don’t know why maybe cuz I sort of think oh it’s just another thing I’ve got to add stick that in and add it whereas with my passport from Australia when I was issued the first one uh it came with a plastic sleeve you know Australian government sleeve it’s quite handy it’s very it’s perfect and it’s got a bit of information on it and some phone numbers for I don’t know consulates or something just something on it to do with Australian government so I’ve just always kept that one I just slide it in there and on the front it’s austral got Australian government with the logo and Bob’s your uncle but if you want one 100 B I’ve seen him in puket changai and um in here and they all been 100 bus it seems to be the uh the go right but uh this is the Suzie walking Street I think it’s pretty chill pretty chill uh area very relaxing the trees above a nice all these uh trees that overhang the street probably cools it down a little bit a lot of the sun’s not going to get in onto this cement Road keeping it just a little bit cooler but um I still haven’t had any food but you know what I don’t know I’m not I’m not that hungry I haven’t been that hungry since I’ve been in Thailand so I’ve been eating a lot of uh smoothies and coconut type things coconut mango smoothies all that sort of thing so I’m not really super super super hungry all the time which is interesting because I walk so much I’m out walking all day all night but I when I get back to the hotel I’m absolutely rooted rat [ __ ] edit that bit out yeah I’m like stuffed you know so I have a shower do some stuff for the video my eyes are like while I’m doing the video I’m like so then I go right that’s enough and then I go oh no I really got to do this video I’ve got to get this bloody video done so I’ll try and make it the priority to try and get this video done but um then I’m falling asleep so then it’s like right our lights out into bed and uh man I crash I crash uh within seconds I’m having some of the best sleeps it’s amazing the bed the uh pillows some of the beds are not that comfortable the pillows are quite nice they’re big big solid big fat pillows um I’m going to have to to uh change mine over when I get home because this is reminding me that uh it’s better for me to sleep excuse me it’s better for me to sleep on a uh thicker pillow but uh as I was saying I don’t know why I’m not as hungry as I really should be considering I’m using up a lot of energy maybe these um smoothies man go smoothie and whatnot they’re chucking a bit of energy in there but as you know I am eating you see me eating from time to time pad ties and chicken and pork skewers all that sort of stuff so we buzzed out here onto um I don’t know what the street names are what we got uh turn on it’s a lot of food around here I was nearly going to spin around then and go back but considering I’m waffling on about food maybe I should have a look what food they got in this section turn on Tiny turn on Tiny so if you’re uh English it would be uh tiny Road and uh Food Glorious Food fried if you like fried stuff plenty of fried look at that look at that skewers of seafood throw this around here look at this lady here oh it’s not a lady oh [ __ ] it’s a man 25 60s 407s and 140 depending on the size and what you get mango sticky rice when did I have the last one of those oh um when did I have one of them I remember eating one not that long back but now I’m trying to think actually where it was might get one maybe or will I I don’t know I’m so indecisive it’s uh don’t know where that comes from IND dis sorive doesn’t matter in the end you uh you know I get I get it or I don’t get it depends but uh I might get um you know what I’m really hanging for and I haven’t had it as such is a uh lab guy it’s chicken chicken lab they do pork as well but I uh kind of just prefer the chicken one but I haven’t had one or have I no up in changm big up there that sort of thing but I still didn’t have any a lot of the mints like the chicken and pork uh mints you know fried similar not the same with rice but the uh lb is just a little bit different just a little bit different it doesn’t have the same ingredient in it some of these look nice these um food stores hang about what’s going on down here God is this food down here are you kidding this Domino’s you want dominoes so we’re not far from Cal Sand Road this is paved very similar to this really clean and easy to walk on so food stuff down here as well just little bits and pieces you know oh they’re doing a um oh they’re doing Pap salad some sometime thae you know I get a lot of those um yeah you know I love them good for you too it’s doesn’t you know it’s just it’s a salad it’s so refreshing so ref freshing so light but I’m spinning I do not need to go down there I’ve seen there’s not a lot down there I thought there was more down there go back up here pass the old dominoes and the natural Leaf Dispensary natural Leaf Dispensary what is that I think this is my motto as well read that think that’s my uh life motto as I get older that oh they got bloody alligators everywhere well we could be getting towards the end of the uh Cal Sand Road Night Market vid over here in the Suzy walking Street it’s a slightly quieter chilled out walking Street running semi- parallel to caland Road it’s quite nice now I just need to work out how to get out of here I can’t remember which uh little oh actually I think it was this one here little uh you know there little Alleyways everywhere around here but there was a specific oh [ __ ] no that’s not it there’s a specific one that comes through from calan Road and above it it has Suzie walking Street big green information sign you won’t miss it or you shouldn’t miss it from Calen Road here we go this looks like it we’ve had a little look up there did I see any food that I I don’t know I’ve done that much walking I can’t remember where I bloody want food now uh it’s five yeah no I’m just thinking that thinking of something out loud never mind me what are we doing oh we’re going to it’s a film all right we’re walking through their uh filming operations oh well these things happen we’re going to head back out on the Cen Road do one more round see what we can find to eat could be good could be bad but uh won’t be those bloody scorpions I can tell you what’s going on here holy Jesus see this behind me look at that it’s one of them Hospital things with a couple of bags hanging off it I think it’s um just booze you get a booze oh it’s called it’s called Hub ble see that Hub ble Hub b a hub it’s a bar Bangkok hit Bangkok bar all sorts of weird stuff all made in ear selling uh Adidas and [Music] Nike here we are we’re back on the Strip back on the noisy street right I got the dinner sorted out
