hey guys welcome to my channel tokofuri Sarah I am staying at a very nice hotel in Fukuoka so I’m gonna show you what this hotel is like [Music] so my trip to Fukuoka I stayed at this really nice hotel called suresorean it was a very nice place and I highly recommend it so I decided to make a dedicated video for this hotel I randomly found this place on the internet but it had really good reviews if you pay online you can go straight to the hotel but if you want to pay on site you have to go to another place with a reception which is just three minutes walk from the hotel [Music] I think this hostel also runs suresorean this place looked quite funky and interesting anyway after you pay here you can go check into today’s [Music] so this is the entrance of the hotel and it’s actually you open it with a code so the code um I’m not going to show you but after you enter the code you press e and then the door opens [Music] oh my god look [Music] that is amazing it smells amazing as well it’s like very very Woody and very nice oh my God so you take your shoes off here and then the first thing you’ll see is the kitchen oh my God it’s so nice look at the kitchen oh and it even has a very expensive um microwave brand wow and a very nice Kettle what’s that kitchen too it says oh wow you can have a great morning coffee here and then fridge no oh that’s a closet okay that’s interesting [Music] um oh more kitchen tools here wow oh nice dishes wow what’s that oh nothing [Music] a what nothing okay I’m guessing that’s the fridge and um I guess that’s the bathroom oh look that is so clean wow does it open when you get closer to it no it doesn’t Okay anyway bye enough of the bathroom what’s that over here oh it’s a laundry room and oh it’s a bathroom wow whoa look at that oh my God oh my God wow oh I see myself hey hey when you open this glass door you get the shinoki bathtub wow it smells amazing very Woody wow oh my God wait oh you can see the outside is this like a like a mirror on the other side and you can’t see or oh no you have to pull down the the blind that makes sense okay that’s interesting hello hello so many mirrors okay back into the room and then we have the upstairs where oh yeah yeah you need to pull the blinds down otherwise everyone’s going to see you so you go up these stairs it’s so nice and I’m guessing it’s the bedroom oh so there’s this oh wait how do I open this there we go oh my God oh my God they even have like a matcha set so you can make your own matcha I’ve actually never used this bamboo um whisk thing before Oh my God I am definitely making matcha and then I think that’s a humidifier that looks very expensive and very nice TV you can watch YouTube on this TV of course you are more than welcome to watch Tokyo foodie Sarah here on the big screen and also the beds wow oh my God it looks so fluffy and comfy wow I’m so excited [Music] oh more futons and okay that’s an air purifier wow I love this place already [Music] oh that says private so I’m guessing we can’t go in there yeah it’s locked okay so that is the end of the room tour um I’m gonna show you around the city of Calcutta and show you all the foods I’m having whoa so excited so after you paid for the um the accommodation you can check in with this tablet thing over here so you can choose between English Chinese Korean and Japanese and you just need to type in the information that’s required on the screen and then check-in is going to be done how easy so this building has three rooms in total right and the one I’m in right now is called Hakata and they also have genkai and Commando so the one I’m in right now um The Fill capacity is eight people I think that’s a bit too many people for like this big of a hotel so maybe like three or four maximum I’d say and then the genkai is up to eight people and Commando is slightly bigger it’s up to 10 people the hotel is just five minutes walk from the train station called nakasa kababata station it has great access to a lot of the tourist attractions in Fukuoka you’re only 10 minutes away from ichiran ramen’s headquarters too [Music] I will show you how to make matcha so at this hotel they provide you with this bowl and also the bamboo whisk which I’ve never used before surprisingly and they also give you this pack of matcha powder it says that you pour this matcha powder into the bowl [Music] and you pour 70 milliliters of hot water and they also have a kettle here very nice looking kettle I think that’s 70. and you whisk it for 15 seconds using this fancy looking bamboo with full matcha let’s go [Music] oh I forgot to mention they give you this like kimono looking set it also comes with like trousers like short trousers so yeah you can wear this inside the hotel it looks very nice right I will have the matcha [Music] it’s quite bitter as you can probably imagine and it is very very grassy but in a good way and I love the froth on top [Music] in property ceremonies there are more rules um so like you have to frost it and then you like turn the ball for like three times that kind of thing but this matcha guide in this hotel they just give you this like simple instruction which is hold the hot water in and then you just whisk it and drink it so yeah don’t expect a proper tea ceremony to be this casual just saying this hotel also looks nice in the evening the area was a very safe residential area I’m not sponsored or anything but I decided to make a video on it because I genuinely thought that this hotel was super nice I’ll link their website in the description box so if you ever visit fugoka do consider staying here for a more Japanese experience alright that’s it for today I hope you enjoyed this video if you did please don’t forget to give it the Thumbs Up And subscribe to see more future videos about Japanese foods and culture bye [Music] gonna show you what this hotel is like

  1. I loooove the design of that hotel!! It's so nice!! I bet it was a soothing fragrance – I love being surrounded by that fresh woody smell haha. Genuinely one of the most cozy looking hotel rooms I've seen. The high quality features and applianecs were a nice touch.

  2. Superb hotel. Looks very ‘Japanese’. When I eventually get to have my dream trip to Japan that is the sort of place I must stay in. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

  3. One thing I've been wondering since i started watching your vids, what's up with your name? Sarah sounds very Englishy, did you pick that up when you studied in the UK? Love all your stuff by the way, your personality is VERY engaging. Arigato!

  4. Hey! I discovered your channel 2 weeks ago! Very interesting and fun to watch!Nice job 👍 😊 love 🇯🇵

  5. I just can't get enough of how much efficiency the Japanese can muster without compromising the beauty and sense of comfort. Amazing.

  8. I only just discovered your channel and I really like it! It's interesting with a good amount of humor. You really deserve more views and subscribers because your content is great. Keep up the good work! Greetings from the Netherlands

  9. I am very interested in that sort of accomodation. Especially as plan to travel to Fukuoka in 2024 to meet people and enjoy the city, then on my way to Southern Kyushu.
Question please – Watching you work your way through the little hotel's brochure, had me concerned. If I can't read or speak Japanese, will it be difficult registering, finding the place, etc. This why in the past, I have opted to stay at hotels close to JR Hakata.
Do you think non Japanese can book and find Tsurezure without too many problems? Thank you.
UPDATE – Actually I did an experiment and followed your link. To my great relief it is in English and very easy to follow. I am 100% confident I can do it.
Question please – Are there place to eat within walking distance of the accomodation? Thank you.

  10. very nice hotel. tell us if you paid accomodation tax upon check in. We are going to visit fukuoka in the last quarter of this year. thanks and will continue to watch your vlogs.

  11. Another great clip, Sarah. The hotel is in my old quarters between Nakasu and Hakata. It looks absolutely great. Big rooms though for many people. Great location. When I first came to Fukuoka some 20 +years ago I managed to book a small, almost onsen like hotel in Shirogane near Yakuin. Totally traditional, very cheap, a bathtub in the room and a bigger public bath downstairs, futons made every evening and a rice snack or sandwich plus an alco drink on the table when I got home in the evening. I think it may be closed now, I do not find it on Google, but there are many others to find. Never mind if it is not in Tenjin or central, there are trains and buses handy. The experience of a traditional Japanese hotel adds so much for a visitor.

  12. I just booked this hotel because of this video 😄 We’re a family of 9 so I booked the family room with kitchen and the standars family room. Excited to stay here in October.

  13. I want my apartment to be as aesthetic as this hotel. But I don't have the money for renovations. (or permission)
