The popular shot here is across the pond in front of it. It was crazy busy when we got there, and after wrestling to the front of the crowd there wasn’t really any room for moving left or right for composition. Also, at that time of the day the sun was hitting the front face-on, making for a VERY tough exposure. I grabbed some quick snaps but decided to go look for less conventional shots. There is a garden/hill behind it, and from a quiet little corner I found this little hole in the trees.

This is one of my favorite shots of this site that I’ve seen. I appreciate the different framing – a good reminder that there are many more choices for us to make when holding a camera.
