[Music] [Music] I is you’re in mys I can’t believe that I found you I found you yeah get I just want to dance with you can you give it up boy can you give it up boy keep it up it up standing here when all I got to do night baby be the baby I love the way [Music] C hi guys welcome back we’re heading to Kyo today and I’m really excited to show you guys what Kyo has to offer we’ arrived C after taking the wrong train once we’ll be staying at solia hotel which is near the Sando station it’s kind of in between the main shopping street and this moreall C natural chill area with a lot of good food and it’s along the C river which is absolutely beautiful okay let me show you things that I like about this hotel so first off we have this which is fabric fashioner this is for Yakiniku night or when you come home from a smokey itaya uh generally shoe polisher here are bathroom sandals that you can bring home it’s pretty good quality if you can see quite thick and cushiony these are pajamas pajamas not bath ropes bath ropes are here and then here you have these you can actually walk around your room in this look like sanitized as well okay let’s move on to the other stuff t t t these are the usuals okay something I wanted to share they actually have his and her card so they will clarify your gender before passing this to you because there there public Buffs and then this has access to the male buff and this has access to the female buff and as usual these are not inside the rooms you actually have to pick it up up next to the front desk so uh only pick up what you need uh these are like standard stuff okay another tiny detail is this they actually give you like a charger as well and this really cute pouch there’s a tea set puff salts for this and everything else is pretty standard there was a sweet shop near the hotel and they sold really interesting flavors of sweets and they are packaged in a way that makes for really good souvenir so we tried out the brown sugar candy before we committed to buying more our first stop was the gon area so we actually had to cross the bridge from the hotel to get to the area we went to this pretty popular Japanese traditional sweet shop called gon Kumori when you first enter the shop you actually you’re actually asked to take off your shoes and put it in this shoe room seating wise you actually sit on the floor which is like the traditional Japanese style and then they serve you some tea along with your dessert and we ordered the green tea Wabi Mochi and red bean Jam agar I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good but this was my absolute favorite dessert in Kyo [Music] afterwards we walked around a little bit before we went for dinner initially we wanted to go to a teinaki restaurant but they were fully booked so we just walked around and found another restaurant called Tepanyaki okonomiyaki restaurant u u is in y u u it’s a fairly small restaurant I think it can only seat around 10 people and there are two counters and they seem to be men by mother and daughter I’m not so sure about their relationship but that is what it looks like we waited quite long outside for around an hour because of the limited seating but when we got in wow it was so worth it it’s a very unpretentious place and it has very casual Vibes but the food I tell you was amazing after the quite disappointing okonomiyaki experience we had in Osaka this was so refreshing and we got some other stuff like Kobe beef and the vegetables with the beef was done so well I could have just ordered vegetables on its own and had 10 portions of it overall I really really liked this place do give it a try it’s not really a fancy place per se but I promise you the food is really good [Music] afterwards we went over to the main shopping area and we spent a lot of time in Unico and suddenly we got hungry again so we got McDonald’s [Music] [Music] [Music] the next morning we woke up a bit earlier to go for a run because the hotel is next to this really nice River and and I was just so tempted to go for a run I didn’t actually bring my running shoes so I just ran with my walking shoes since it was just a short distance of 7 km. my boyfriend however bought his entire workout outfit so he was just happily running next up we went to Nishiki Market this Market is a bit smaller than the one in Osaka and the walkways are a bit more narrow I find that there’s more variety of food here and more interesting things that we saw here that we didn’t see in Osaka in Osaka many of the stores were kind of repeated the type of food they sold were pretty much the same from store to store whereas the one at Nishiki Market was a bit different there were specialty stores like fish cake stores rice cake stores Sesame stores and just very very different different and all of them sold generally quite different things there are also more knickknacks to buy back be it like food or souvenir [Music] for the food there was some hits and some misses for us there was one thing that we didn’t expect to like this much but we thought it was really nice and that was the fish pancakes I’m trying to Google what it’s called ah ANB tayak this was pretty nice we ordered the butter and red bean paste one and it was super indulgent and the butter waso so good in Osaka so afterwards he got a bit hungry and I went to sushiro which is right outside the market the sushiro here is super inexpensive and each plate only cost us less than $2 Singapore dollars and the sushiro here is pretty much self-service so you get a number and then they tell you which seat you have to go to and then you just walk there and order everything online in terms of quality and selection I think it’s not very different from the one in Singapore I think the main difference is really just the price [Music] [Music] point then I came and we went to this place that is a no-name Ramen Shop they don’t really have present on Google maps and they only give like coordinates so I will share it in the description below the menu is fairly simple there are three types of ramen you can go for and then you choose your toppings the toppings here are not your typical toppings they have beef slices um beef oals and I believe chashu they also serve the broth with vegetables and the broth itself has a slight sourness to it I think because of the vegetables they add inside I am not not so sure but it’s overall a very different Ramen experience and I did enjoy it quite a fair [Music] bit the next morning before 9:00 a.m. we brought our luggages down to be transported to our hotel in Tokyo if you are traveling between cities and you have heavy luggages with you we highly recommend you guys use the luggage delivery services just go to your hotel front office and let them know that you are interested in the service and they will make the arrangements for you all you need to do is bring your luggage down I think 2 days before the day you expect your luggage to arrive in your next hotel they will take down some information from you and also measure your luggage and then they will calculate how much it will cost and then they will just charge you on the spot you can pay via cash or credit card anyway one thing to note about Japan is that you don’t see a lot of breakfast options this is one of the traditional breakfast places that we found in Kyoto we found some others but those were really expensive like $100 per packs so we tried this out this is my first time having Japanese traditional style breakfast and so yeah I can’t comment on whether it’s authentic and whether it’s nice next up we went to uji we actually had to take a train out and this is our first first ever sightseeing experience in Japan I was actually pretty excited for this because I really love like culture like museums temples and whatnot and we were so busy throughout the trip we didn’t really have time for sightseeing so this time around we decided to go to uji for the matcha desserts which are very popular there and also to this Temple called buo in from the train station you have to walk past the uji bridge to get to kind of the main touristy area where they sell a lot of tea related stuff and also where the temple is the admission fees are around 700 Yen per pack and it gives you admission into kind of the general area if you want to go into the Phoenix Hall you actually have to pay additional 300 Yen emission fee the beal in was a lot smaller than I expected because the photos really made it look pretty big but it was still a very beautiful site there’s also a museum inside uh my boyfriend proposed it was quite a funny moment because he initially envisioned like a whole romantic proposal but after seeing the sheer amount of people there he got so shy and he just passed me the ring lunch was at a random place that we found in UI called kokoro it’s a Yaki Tori restaurant and they have lunch set meals my boyfriend got the Yakitori dorri and I got their kokoro set Meal which has some tempor chicken and some Yakitori on the side I really really like the to guys the chart flavor really really shines true and even the reddish salad that it had was drenched in this really yummy I don’t know Peanut and something sauce it was so refreshing and nice right next to the Yakitori place is a place called matcha Republic they actually sell matcha drinks and matcha soft s we ordered the soft s with matcha powder on top of it the creal was so stretchy and creamy the matcha powder with a perfect blend of bitterness and sweetness and The Cone guys the cone tasted like the white chocolate sandwich biscuit that people always buy from Hokkaido and wow we loved it we really loved it it was one of our favorite desserts in the entire trip [Music] i’ been around but I can’t get you out of my head try to stray try to forget but the thoughts they seem the TR instead I’ve always wondered what it takes to fill this empty void inside but now I’ve realized you are what I needed this whole [Music] time we left UI shortly after because we were so tired from all the walking and we went to this place called K Yakiniku barbecue hero and this is really near the hotel that we are staying in we actually had a pretty early dinner because they’re quite booked out at the regular dinner time so we ate at 5:30 and and initially I chose this place because they have this amazing outdoor seating whereby it’s right next to the river and I thought it would be really nice to have barbecue in the cold and with a view but for some reason they didn’t allow us to sit outside even though it was empty and only two seats were taken which was quite disappointing but anyway the food was good and I think it’s reasonably priced for the quality afterwards we grabbed some cake and went back to the hotel to celebrate my birthday we didn’t get it down on video but because my boyfriend was too shy to propos earlier he actually did a redo in the hotel while celebrating my birthday and gave a really heartfelt speech and it was just a really nice memory to have our last day in Kyoto last morning then we’re going to leave at 11:30 so going to go get breakfast and I don’t think we had enough time in Kyoto actually it’s very said but we have two nights in Tokyo and and I need to go home and for the last day the weather was good because it was drizzling outside so we got ourselves some convenience store food and just set by the river for a nice breakfast before we set off to Tokyo that’s all guys thanks for watching see you in Tokyo bye bye
