We start the day at the picturesque Sengan-en Gardens, where, after taking in some of the beautiful scenery, I sample some Matcha tea; but how was it? Back onboard, it’s time for Specialty dinner number 1, which is bound to be delicious…right?

welcome to Kashima good morning good morning good morning so I’ve quickly popped to the buffet and grabbed a bite to eat I am now off the ship the jewel is behind me and we are in the taxi rank at the moment here we are then made it to the front of the taxi queue and we are on our way to S again and Gardens very wet day all day R around about 80 to 90 % chance of rain and potential thunderstorms all day but it won’t stop [Music] F so we’ve made it to senan n it was uh not too long a taxi ride and uh let me just quickly show you a 360 of where I am right now so we’ve not long come in we’ve gone to the orientation Center and let me just show you around [Music] now okay we’ve arrived at point one then which is the furnace but let me just show you the house behind me or in front of me rather first and there is the furnace right onwards the volcano I believe is uh directly in front of me now there is a viewpoint but I don’t think we’ll be able to see much with all of this cloud cover so it’s over there oh look at this lovely lovely at this tree over here as well it’s very popular with them having their photo taken as well lots of trees so we just had our official photo shoot done perfect very good lovely ladies took a picture of the seven of us together at this beautiful Monument which is underneath the gorgeous tree can’t get over how pretty these trees are gorgeous right or am I very easily pleased what a super smashing gate beautiful right we’re going to the house I know that because the sign told me so don’t need a ticket stamped what if I done my [Music] ticket so I’m back outside here waiting for the rest of them to finish touring and uh I’m sure they’ll be out shortly and then we can continue on around the gardens more prettiness [Music] so we’ve taken shelter briefly in the match up Cafe here at San M and uh I’ve ordered the Tea Ceremony experience and luckily for me it comes with instruction so I can see how to make it right on Q mine’s arrived thank you very much right here’s the Tea Ceremony experience I’m sure it is okay let’s make this work than smells very healthy I’m whisking I’m whisking I think that looks good okay right it’s time to try it wow that’s qu taste wo okay oh no I’m good I think it’s supposed to balance cuz that’s quite sharp and those are very sweet okay yeah they work well together right thank you very much to my cameraman that’s pretty damn good so that’s the Tea Ceremony experience done in matcha Cafe and now we’ve come into the glasswar and Pottery Shop and there’s lots of lovely intricate designs it’s not quite Morano but they are very expensive I’m really really really scared because when I was uh in a shop in I think Florence my backpack knocked vase and it already flavor and smashed and that would have cost me quite a lot of money so I do not want to do that in here so I’ve just bumped into Kelly as I’ve come out the shop and she tells me if I go up the top here it’s very pretty and there’s a little Shrine so I can see a Tory gate already so let’s uh have a little look oh what’s this seesaw type device saaro sack onaro is a water powerered rice husking machine which was used to polish brown rice the arm strikes about once a minute or 1,440 times per day a total of 500,000 times a year wow you smash that Rice right here’s the Tory gate so this is a cat Shrine Yes you heard that right it’s a shrine to a cat everybody’s messages to the cat and a Tory gate and um little [Music] water feature as well right I’m just going to do a quick Loop and then back around past the gift shop to meet Kelly and Tom uh this looks rather nice CU there’s some beautiful plants here and it’s another Sherine but not to a cat this time clouds are still clinging to that Island over there so you can’t see the volcano but uh there are definitely decent views to be seen so let me just flip around and do a 360 for you there we are it’s beautiful here there is a lot of bamboo here check this out oh lots of water at that not I so this is purple sweet potato ice cream are you ready for the live reaction here we go wow that’s actually really nice that’s really really nice so out the taxi into the tural we’ve done the uh departure immigration now that was pretty quick got little red sticker on my car to say that I passed immigration and we just have to do it again uh tomorrow we Busan South Korea we just have to do it that’s we’re entering Japan again but day after that as we’re in uh I believe that’s our Nagasaki day that’s the day before ourc day uh anyway back at the ship now here we are then back on board absolute Breeze that immigration the uh biggest cues were to actually get back on the ship and get through security scanners on the ship um but hey with th it we’re back on it is nice and early it is uh oh bottle of water it is 250 and all AB board time is 4:00 so we’re well well early and sailway is 4:30 I’m not sure it’s going to be the most picturesque of Sailor ways that volcano is really proving stubborn today I’ve just popped into the buffet to fill up my water and I’ve have a look at the food and uh I do see some of it however just walk past the outdoor of it and I can see the hot dogs and I can’t get the thought of having a hot dog out of my mind so I think I’m just going to have to go and do that so let’s go Jin me let’s go and take a look cuz it’s not that far away literally is just R the corner here [Music] okay let’s load up here we go then I can now get out of my head so hot dog mustard ketchup find any fried onions so I’ve got like this sourkraut bacon mix close enough some fries and also some pickles or pickled jins I’m salivating just thinking about this that was um pretty it’s okay it was just pretty cold I think it would be nice when it was fresh anyway it’s time to head back into the buffet cuz it’s dessert hunt time just gone back into the buffet to get my desserts and uh it’s now closed so The Great Outdoors is open so that is now where I am so as you can hopefully tell from that sign so I’ve got some Peach upside down cake and uh chocolate cookies and it’s just beginning to rain so I’m going to dive under cover in a second but let me just show you after a relaxing few hours back in the room I was ready to see what the evening would bring Okay so I’ve had a siesta this afternoon cuz I was a little bit tired and now I’ve gone up to deck 13 and had a strong coffee and I’m heading back to the room now and having a shower and then it’s time for specialty dining number one on this Cruise okay here we go then showered changed and on rout she like Kina which is hidden in the buffet of all places I’m pretty sure that it’s the same on um epic actually if I remember rightly aha I found it here we are then in Lina which is hidden within the buffet I found it at the rear near the elevator so no biggie we found it in the end uh so uh I cannot begin to tell you how much the ship is rocking and rolling tonight we’re really been throwing around there’s a lot of out there and I think that’s largely to blame so let me just quickly show you the menu wow they are not messing about tonight the starter has arrived already and this is the mozzarella Caprice I better get this Dy as quick as possible cuz I’m afraid that the uku might come out when I’ve had a couple of maps that’s like incredible service I don’t think I’m going to be in here any longer than an hour tonight which works for me before the main comes out there and I have to say I was a little bit underwhelmed by that actually a lot underwhelmed by that as it’s Caprice it’s supposed to have basil and there was absolutely no sign of Basil whatsoever it was a little Bland so bit of salt and pepper and balsamic has jazzed it up a little bit but um yeah that was kind of far from what I was expecting it literally was just slice of mozzarella few tomatoes and and nothing else there was no flavor to it shame let’s hope that the main is better the main or entree is out the Ooo and I’m keeping absolutely everything cross that it’s better than that starter it does look quite good to be fair take a look oh dear underwhelmed again there was no Grand malata this time I’m now starting to wonder if it’s me but I just find those two courses a little bit underwhelming fingers crossed for the dessert is all I can say right let’s go for it Third Time Lucky I’ve got the vanina panacotta a little bit of blackberry going on um they’ve obviously prepped all these well in advance because I literally gave him my order he walked off with the dessert menu and then walk straight back out with it so anyway let’s see what this panacotta tastes like it’s kind of filling me with Dread now for listro and kagy that I’ve got later on in the cruise uh I really like the specialty restaurants on Norwegian but this is kind of left up taste in my mouth literally hooray hooray a course that is okay so the pacot was uh was pretty good um yeah that was quite nice the Blackberry added a bit of taste to it uh I think that’s the first course that came out that had everything with it that should have been with it so good anyway um it is I’ve literally been processed through this restaurant cuz it’s only4 to 9 and I arrived here just after 8 so that was a very very quick meal so um the there is um songs of Annie or something in the main theater so I’m really not sure but I’ll go and take a look Pi my head in see what it’s like I mean it’s it’s only 45 minutes so what could possibly go wrong so we’re going to have a look at that it’s Latin night in spin Lange tonight and uh as we don’t arrive into Busan until midday tomorrow I can let my hair down and have a few more drinks than normal tonight okay disappointing dinner done it’s time for the main [Music] theater remember St like this okay that’s the theater entertainment done um yeah she was pretty good she can bang them out it wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever seen it certainly wasn’t the worst thing few 70s Classics in there and uh now I’m at molting and I’ve got two of my favorite cocktails again before I head up to spinal engine sample B offer up there [Music] [Music] it’s the end
