The Difference of Popin Cookin Hamburger Kit Between America and Japan
I have recently known that Kracie released DIY candy Popin’ Cookin’ series in America too. So I compared American Popin’ Cookin’ Hamburger Kit to Japanese one. They looks alike but the taste is completely different. Japanese Popin’ Cookin’ Hamburger Kit is real hamburger taste, but American one is fruity sweets taste. Which DIY candy do you like? This American version candy kit from the fabulous Kracie is pretty cool and cute. I found and tried the doughnut kit. But yes it's overly sweet like you said in the description. The place setting of the packaging is fun to cut out and assemble And the candy kit is fun to to make and the final results always look good at the end. But eating it no. I prefer the Japanese versions. Taste is good and savory not like cake frosting.😬 You made both of these look like the real things. Love the cute mini hamburgers that look like sliders. Yeah, the few kits I've gotten here are sweet. I was hoping they would be natural tasting like the Japanese versions.

I'm an american and I tried the American one….it is SO NASTY! My niece and I played with it and it was just….blegh*! Except for the strawberry sauce and the cola drink, everything else was NASTY. Tasted like plumeria and bananas. 😮💨🤢

I like the Japanese version better. I’ve tasted both and the American one was too sweet. The original Japanese one was savory.
so… I bought the american version about a year ago, after wanting to do the hamburger kit again, and I was super disappointed. I thought it was just a literal English version of the Japanese kit, but I was confused as to why I wasn't cooking the buns and burgers like I had before. I persisted, and when it was all done, I was excited to taste it, hoping I'd be met with the taste from the Japanese kit. IT WAS SWEET. I was disgusted!
I went back and ordered the JAPANESE version, and was so delighted to taste the realistic hamburger again! The Japanese kit legitimately tastes like a burger and fries with a cola! (a flat cola, but cola nonetheless lol)
needless to say, whenever I want to order a popin cookin from amazon (or wherever), I pretty much avoid the "tanoshii" kits. I've not had a good experience with the 3 I've tried!
The hamburger kit was the worst, but the bento and sushi, while more tolerable, tasted off to me, compared to their Japanese counterparts. I did give them a fair shake! I just wasn't impressed 🤷♀️
It's interesting how the consistency of the bun and patty was reversed between the two.
