Yokohama 1 night 2 day trip to visit classic sightseeing spots #2. I have now finished checking out of the hotel. We are on our way to the next sightseeing spot. From now on, we will be passing through the famous train road. I’m going to the Cup Noodles Museum.

It’s about a 20 minute walk from here along the train road. It might take a little longer since I’m touring the train road. Immediately after leaving the hotel is the Nippon Maru Memorial Park. The sailing ship Nippon Maru, a nationally designated important cultural property, is moored here. You can take a tour inside.

Nippon Maru only cost 400 yen. Arrived at the train road. You can see the iron bridge! . The train road is part of the Rinko Railway that opened in 1911. It was constructed as a promenade in 1997. The railroad tracks at that time! .

This track continued all the way to the Red Brick Warehouse. There are three bridges spanning the train road. It has been certified as a historical building by Yokohama City. This iron bridge was constructed in the late Meiji period. Made by American Bridge.

It’s amazing that the rails and bridges are what they were back then. The train road ends when you cross the Port No. 3 Bridge. This area has become a tourist boat dock. I arrived at the Air Cabin platform that I rode yesterday. An amusement park! .

In addition to the Ferris wheel, there was also an amusement park. Admission is free. I can see it! . Arrived at Cup Noodles Museum Park.

8 minutes walk from Cup Noodles Museum Park Yokohama “Minatomirai Station”. Opening hours: 10:00 – 18:00 (Last admission until 17:00) Closed on Tuesdays (or the following day if closed on a public holiday). This is a place I wanted to go to in Yokohama (^^). How does it work?

It seems that you can make your own original “Cup Noodles” and “Chicken Ramen.” Admission fee is 500 yen for adults. It seems that numbered tickets are issued every hour. I will try my own cup noodles. There was only an admission fee. The entrance to the museum was on the second floor.

Cup noodles! . I feel excited. Let’s take a look at various things on the second floor (^^). Instant ramen history cube. let’s go. This instant ramen shop started with just one product in 1958. An overwhelming number of over 3,000 packages depict the development of food culture. This is interesting (^^).

I’ve never seen this before. Is it Donbei limited to the area? I found out later. “Chicken Ramen” invented in 1958 is also on display. I wanted to see the 1958 Chicken Ramen… There was a theater in the back. It’s a short movie of about 10 minutes.

The inside looks like this, depicting the life of Momofuku Ando. It is introduced in Momofuku Ando’s “Creative Thinking”. The front is open. What’s behind this? Momofuku’s research hut. You can see inside the research room. Inside is a faithful reproduction of the research shed where “Chicken Ramen” was born.

It seems that the invention was inspired by tempura. It was here that he made his world-famous invention. What’s next? Designed cup noodles. It’s almost time for My Cup Noodle Factory. Great success. Purchase a cup of Cup Noodles here. Wash your hands. From now on, we will write illustrations and letters on the cup.

I worry about what to write. Because I don’t have a sense of drawing. By the way, the date of manufacture is incorrect. This is Chicken Ramen Factory. Looks like a lot of fun. Amazing amount of cup noodles. It was my turn. Here you choose the soup and toppings to put inside.

Then close the lid. Then shrink wrap it. Complete! . Then we air package it for take-home. It’s done (^^). Next, let’s go to World Noodle Road, which is one floor higher. World noodle road. Here you can eat noodle dishes from all over the world. The inside looks like this, food court style.

Chicken ramen. Let’s eat it ( ¨̮ ). Chicken ramen was 250 yen. You can choose the ingredients! . Chashu is rare in chicken ramen. Chicken ramen 250 yen. It’s been a long time since I had chicken ramen (^^).

What’s amazing is that the taste doesn’t change at all no matter when you eat it. Unchanging deliciousness. I felt nostalgic about chicken ramen (^^). When I went down to the lower floor, there was a place where children would be happy. This is Cup Noodles Park.

This is an athletic facility where you can experience the manufacturing process of Cup Noodles. Finally, I will go to the museum shop. Here you can find original goods from Cup Noodles Museum. We sell goods related to instant ramen. The most popular chicken ramen manju. Hiyokochan’s products seem to be popular (^^). Monjamo! .

I might want to buy this and take it home. Here’s a cup noodle that I’ve never seen before. This would also be a great souvenir (^^). Cup Noodles Museum was better than I expected. It was much more fun (^^). Next, we will aim for Hammerhead on foot. I saw a hammerhead! .

Hammerhead is a 9 minute walk away. You can get to Hammerhead from Shinko Pier Passenger Ship Terminal. Let’s go inside. There was a sea bus stop right after entering. I wanted to ride it, but it wasn’t open that day. Exit here to go to the Hammerhead Crane location.

The view from here was also good. That’s it! ! . Hammerhead crane was introduced in 1914 to meet the increasing trade volume. This is a British-made crane installed. Let’s go closer. It certainly looks like a hammer. Most of Shinko Pier was submerged in water during the Great Kanto Earthquake.

It is said that this crane did not collapse and contributed to the earthquake recovery efforts. There’s a place I’d like to go to, so let’s go ( ¨̮ ). Kamakura Beniya Kurumicco Factory Yokohama Hammerhead 2nd floor Business hours 11:00-21:00 Closed according to facility. Is it made there?

This is a shop that sells Kurumikko, a popular baked confectionery in Beniya, Kamakura. Since it is a factory, you can also see the manufacturing process. The factory is a spacious space that occupies about half of the store. Today’s stock ends.

It’s around 12:00 on a weekday now, and some items are already out of stock. Buy as much as you can for now. Kurumikko 810 yen for 5 pieces. The famous sweets that represent Kamakura were delicious (^^). There were many delicious-looking restaurants inside Hammerhead. here! .

This is the Yokohama Harbor Double Maron restaurant that I ate at a cafe yesterday. The combination of soft serve ice cream also looks delicious (^^). VANILLABEANS THE ROASTERY Hammerhead 2nd floor Business hours Cafe 11:00-20:00 LO19:00 Closed according to facility. There is also a factory attached here.

Many of the shops in Hammerhead have factories attached to them. VANILLABEANS is a chocolate brand born in Yokohama. Since it’s a chocolate shop, most of the drinks are chocolate-based. However, this time I came to eat fondant chocolate (^^). They also sell chocolate. There was also terrace seating outside.

Have a cafe time while looking at the scenery from here. You can feel elegant ( ¨̮ ). Vanilla bean fondant chocolate 1375 yen. The drink set includes a choice of coffee or tea. For homemade ice cream. A chocolate cake filled with chocolate. A combination of raspberry and pistachio.

A plate with a pure white design is also nice (^^). How about ice cream? It has a light vanilla flavor and is delicious. All together this time. delicious! . When you eat it with ice cream, chocolate, and raspberry sauce, everything comes together (^^). An elegant moment.

The chocolate was delicious and the cafe was in a great location (^^). Hammerhead had a lot of shops that I liked. Next, head to the Red Brick Warehouse. It is about a 3 minute walk to the Red Brick Warehouse. On the way there was a Ron Herman shop.

The exterior looks similar to the Kobe store ( ¨̮ ). Arrived at the red brick warehouse. I came here last night too. If you come during the day, the impression will be different.

The Red Brick Warehouse was built as a model warehouse for the country between the end of the Meiji period and the beginning of the Taisho period. At that time, it was called “Yokohama Customs Port Wharf Warehouse.” Is this a fire door?

This is said to have been the most advanced warehouse that Japan is proud of to the world. The railroad tracks still retain traces of those days. Last night I found a store that I was interested in, so I decided to go there.

Kiyoken Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Store Red Brick Warehouse 2nd Building 1F Business hours 11:00 – 21:00 (LO 20:30) Closed as per facility. I had never eaten it before, so I came here to try it (^^). Delicious food from Yokohama. This is a food court, so there aren’t that many items.

There was a red brick shumai (^^). Let’s go order. There are also take-out items. There were also some great sets. The food court looks like this. Sanma noodles 1,150 yen, traditional shumai 550 yen. There are also noodle dishes that originated in Yokohama. A huge amount of saumar noodles. It’s full of vegetables (^^).

Kiyoken’s shumai is a specialty of Yokohama that was launched in 1928. There’s something green on the shumai. The green was green peas. The filling is made with domestic pork and dried scallops from the Sea of Okhotsk. It is characterized by being delicious even when it is cold.

It will be warm to eat now (¨̮). delicious! . It was chewy and had a strong taste. The bean paste is also packed tightly (^^). Sanma noodles. It is topped with ankake of stir-fried vegetables such as bean sprouts, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, onions, and komatsuna. The amount of noodles is large.

The shumai was delicious, so I think I’ll buy the shumai bento next time. Sanma noodles have a nice crunchy texture from the vegetables and a thick sauce (^^). Crispy feeling. Yokohama’s famous dish was delicious (^^). From here, go through Zou-no-hana Park. Head towards Osanbashi.

There is also a bridge with abandoned railway tracks here. An elephant. A performance typical of Zou-no-hana Park. This place looks like an elephant’s trunk, so it’s called Zou-no-hana Park (^^). Yokohama Customs is over there. You can tour the exhibition room for free, so I would have liked to go if I had time.

Is that an elephant’s trunk? A mammoth. It’s a beautiful building when viewed from the front. It has an exotic atmosphere with an Islamic temple-style dome. BLUEBLUE! ! . I remember being addicted to Hollywood Ranch Market a long time ago (^^). A stylish penguin. The atmosphere never fades (^^).

I wanted to go to a store in Kobe for the first time in a while (^^). A stylish space. We will soon reach Osanbashi Bridge. The Kanagawa Prefectural Office is over there. And it’s an elephant’s trunk. Huge. It’s bigger than I imagined. The floor is made of natural wood.

It seems to be inspired by the deck of a ship. It’s quite big, as large cruise ships call at the port. Is this Osanbashi Hall? . It depicts the Queen’s Tower and the King’s Tower. arrival. I got to the very end. You can see the Bay Bridge from here.

It looks beautiful when it’s lit up at night (^^). Landmark Tower. i will be back. I wish the cruise ship was in port. Finally, the back of the whale. Next, following the first day, we will go to Chinatown.

There is a place where you can drink Chinese tea while listening to the Chinese pipa, so I will go there. Arrived at Chinatown. Goku Chasou “Motomachi-Chukagai” Station 7 minutes walk from Chukagai Exit Business Hours Chasou 1st floor 10:30-19:30 Chasou 2nd floor 11:00-18:30LO Saturdays and Sundays 10:30-OPEN Irregular holidays.

The cafe is on the second floor. It’s a popular restaurant so it’s full. Tea utensils and other items are sold on the first floor. It passed surprisingly quickly. It’s been a while since I’ve had authentic Chinese tea, so I’m looking forward to it (^^). The second floor had a warm wooden atmosphere.

As for the menu. There are many kinds of tea that I have never heard of. There was an explanation for every tea. A set of tea and chashu bun. Soft drinks are also available. Various sweets were also on sale. It’s live though. Chinese pipa on Wednesday, finger puppet show on Thursday.

Monday in Erhu, China. Apparently there are 3 live performances a day. Please contact the shop for more information. Violent tea 1100 yen. It came with Chinese sweets. The goldfish plate looks Chinese (^^). Bobocha is Goku’s original tea. A rose flower. How to brew tea. Don’t worry, the store will give you instructions.

The violent tea is completed. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to brew it myself. Thanks to the instructions, I mastered it (^^). It is said that Bobocha relieves the discomfort of binge drinking and eating. Let’s have a drink first. Delicious (^^).

It has a gorgeous scent of roses and a refreshing taste ( ¨̮ ). Authentic Chinese tea. Ginger apricot tofu 550 yen. I wanted to eat almond tofu so I ordered it (^^). It is rare to find ginger in it.

It has a mature taste with the mellowness of almond tofu and the spiciness of ginger (^^). Syrup is sweet and therefore neutralized. Seating is limited to 2 hours. If you would like to listen to the live performance, we recommend that you adjust the time accordingly.

I was able to drink 4 or 5 cups of tea. Relaxing time. The performance of the Chinese pipa has begun. Nice tone (^^). You’ll feel like you’re in China ( ¨̮ ). There were about 4 or 5 songs played. The live performance of the Chinese pipa was really good ( ¨̮ ).

Now I’m going to go get my luggage left at the hotel. The red shoes have arrived. Arrived at Sakuragicho Station. I will be traveling to Hakone from the next day. The sightseeing ends today. I will stay in Yokohama for one more night. We arrived at the Richmond Hotel.

I’ll take a short break before heading out. I’m off to dinner now. There is a place I want to go to at the end of my trip to Yokohama. I’m now heading to Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum. Head to Shin-Yokohama Station. Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum is a 5-minute walk from Exit 10. Over there! .

Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum 5 minutes walk from Shin-Yokohama Station Exit 10 Business hours Weekdays 11:00-21:00 / Holidays 10:30-21:00 Closed on New Year’s holidays. Something I see often. Let’s buy an admission ticket. It was 450 yen for adults. small ramen. You can climb the ramen shop. I love ramen so I’m excited! .

When I entered, I saw the exterior of the famous restaurant “Raiken” that started the Japanese ramen boom. The first floor is a gallery where you can learn about ramen. . It’s packed with information about ramen. The ramen that Mito Komon ate was recreated. There was a museum shop in the back. Whoa.

Uncle Charmera. This is apparently a stall that was actually in use. It’s very nostalgic (^^). The one I saw was a model of a modified car, so the stall was from before that. Let’s go to the main basement. The concept of the museum is “a city of ramen and sunsets.”

It has a retro feel that looks good at sunset. amazing! ! . It feels real. This is Ippudo. The feeling of creating the scenery is amazing. Let’s go down. amazing! . A city at sunset. It’s my favorite atmosphere (^^). There was a movie like this. Showa feeling. It’s nostalgic.

And there are various ramen shops lined up. There was also a display of waiting time. There are 7 stores. There is a pamphlet with information about the store. Ryu Shanghai Yokohama store. I purposely chose the ramen restaurant with the longest wait time (^^). I feel like it has a good reputation.

The menu has miso and soy sauce flavors. There was also chashu noodles. You can also choose the amount. It’s your turn! . The store was undergoing a complete turnover system. It seems more efficient to make it that way. Akayu miso ramen 1000 yen. Looks delicious (^^).

I was planning on making chashu noodles, but I wasn’t sure if I would be able to eat them, so I went with regular noodles. Karamiso pops. The store was founded in Yamagata in 1963. Karamiso also contained garlic. The noodles are thick flat noodles. It seems to go well with miso soup.

The surface of the soup is sprinkled with green seaweed. The scent of dried sardines and the oiliness of the backfat are good. The ingredients include chashu, menma, and naru. delicious! . The taste of miso and seafood matches well and is delicious (^^). Make the karamiso stronger.

The spiciness increases, but the flavor also increases and it is delicious (^^). This is the first time I’ve heard of it. Yamagata City ranks first in Japan in terms of ramen consumption. “Akayu Karamiso Ramen” is a registered trademark of Akayu Ramen Dragon Shanghai. Apparently they originally served soy sauce ramen.

I mixed miso into the leftover soup to make miso soup and it turned out quite delicious. It seems that it was sold as ramen in 1963. Just like chicken ramen, it only takes a little bit to make a product a big hit. I want to visit ramen shops in Yamagata ( ¨̮ ).

I like the Showa feeling after eating ramen. Let’s also take a look at the first basement floor. The reproducibility in this area is also amazing. A candy store! . Sweets were sold here. The mask too. It feels like a snack here. There was a cafe menu such as soft serve ice cream.

Yokohama Ramen Museum was fun (^^). Return to Sakuragicho Station. This concludes my trip to Yokohama. A good mix of history and new things. It was a wonderful city with an attractive international atmosphere. This time it was a course focused on sightseeing. Next time, I would like to visit some long-established stores (^^).

Thank you for watching this far. See you again in the next video! .
