Hello Kobe . This time, we will visit recommended shops around Kobe Station and shops that caught our attention. JR Kobe Station. The large clock combined with stained glass is impressive. The current station building, completed in 1930, is said to be the third generation. The columns in the internal concourse are also impressive.
The station building has been designated as a heritage of industrial modernization. The decorative parts are also luxurious and beautiful. “Fountain of peace”. (It’s apparently a water cup that has been installed since the station building opened.) Now that we’re at Kobe Station, let’s buy some bread at Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.
This is one of my favorite bakeries in Kobe. Although it is very simple, the bread is chewy and you can enjoy the taste of wheat, so you won’t get tired of it even if you eat it every day. It seems that new donuts have recently appeared, but unfortunately, they are sold out today.
I also love this mini bread series. New flavors come out depending on the season, so I just can’t help but buy them 😁 I got the “bread of tomorrow” ♪ After leaving the expressway Kobe station, I headed to another recommended shop. Proceed along the Yamate side of Tamon-dori.
Handmade jam shop. This is also a recommended shop that I always visit when I come to Kobe Station. We have seasonal fruit jams made with 100% additives. It’s also good as a gift. On the day I visited, they had jams such as Fuji apple and La France.
A very carefully made jam. You can enjoy a variety of flavors depending on the season, so for the past few years, I’ve been buying my jam here exclusively. We also have mini-sized bottles that are great for trying out. The marmalade has been awarded many times at the Dalmain World Marmalade Awards.
When you come to Kobe Station, this is a shop you should definitely visit.☺ We also recommend the chocolate shop next door, “BeBeBe Chocolatier,” and the nearby fashionable bakery, “Place de Pasto.” I feel like there are a lot of small, well-known shops around Kobe Station ☺ It’s fun to walk around the city ♪
Well, for today’s last stop, I’m going to visit a baked confectionery shop that I’ve been curious about… Originally, their baked confectionery was only sold online. Apparently, the taste of the product was so popular that they started selling it in stores. Open only on Fridays and Saturdays.
When you enter the warm store, you can smell the sweet smell of butter ☺ It ‘s a cute store. It makes me feel good ♪ There is a wide variety of baked goods… I can’t help but look at them… They all look delicious… I get excited just looking at them 🥰
It seems that the owner is particular about the ingredients and bakes each one carefully. You can feel the love that goes into each product, even in the handwritten POPs.☺There was also an eat-in space. The New York cheesecake looks delicious too.
It’s said to be a popular item, and you can purchase just one cut at the store. I bought chiffon cake, fig Kuglof, scones, gateau chocolate, and New York cheesecake♪ I ‘m sorry to bother you. I’m looking forward to having you return. So let’s have some right away ☕
First, let’s start with the New York cheesecake… it’s rich, very moist, and delicious! Fig Kuglof. The harmony of the deliciousness of the dough and the sweet and sour figs is exquisite! Today, while taking a peek at Kusunoki-san’s Handmade Market, I’m going to visit a shop I’ve been interested in for lunch.
The handicraft market is held on the grounds of Minatogawa Shrine on the 1st of every month. Minatogawa Shrine was built in 1895, and the deity enshrined is Masashige Kusunoki, a military commander during the Nanbokucho period. In the precincts, there is an inscription written by Mito Komon (Tokugawa Mitsukuni).
Minatogawa Shrine is affectionately known as Kusunoki-san, and there is a statue of Komon-sama, who made Masashige Kusunoki famous. In the precincts, plum blossoms were starting to bloom. The handicraft market has about 50 shops selling bread, accessories, miscellaneous goods, and more. It’s a handmade market with a laid-back, laid-back atmosphere. The great thing about handicraft markets is that you can look around while listening to the stories of the makers. This work is embroidered with motifs related to Ishikawa Prefecture. It’s wonderful, is not it. I purchased “Bride Curtain”.
(It’s a small thing, but I sincerely hope for a speedy recovery…) A Japanese candle shop. The pattern is beautiful. Vegetables from Ichikawa Town. The rice cakes are also handmade. Handmade jam made from fruit that is still edible but would otherwise go to waste. I hope this will help prevent food waste…
This is said to be a “Kano-musubi” event that makes your wishes come true. The back side has a cross. This is a bakery in Itami. 1 piece/1 ball is very big! It’s impressive. Especially the “Itami” bread that bears this store’s name! It’s admirable. I also purchased “Tomorrow’s Bread🥖” here. (I love bread…😁)
The grounds are large, so you can enjoy the handmade market at your leisure while being surrounded by greenery. I also met a shrine maiden and a priest. Kusunoki Inari Shrine is also attracting attention as a photogenic place. The bright vermilion color stands out.
I felt the warmth of the handmade market and the freshness of the shrine. On the east side of the shrine is the Kobe District Court. It’s a modern architecture that combines an old red brick building with glass walls. With the courthouse on the left, we head out for lunch♪
This is a French bistro that opened in July 2013, and I’ve been wanting to visit it. It seems that the former coffee shop has been renovated, and the paintings on the walls are still intact. The retro plate glass goes well with the miscellaneous goods displayed.
There are also a wide variety of a la carte options. The menu looks delicious. Today’s soup. This day was “Shogoin Turnip Potage”. A gentle taste that lets you feel the sweetness of turnips. Assorted appetizers. The colors are bright and it’s pleasing to the eye. Tomato and prosciutto, simple but very delicious…
Rillettes on crackers. The main course is the “homemade charcuterie platter.” The roast beef was perfectly cooked and you could taste the deliciousness of the meat directly. The other main dish is “Danish Pork Shoulder Loin Steak”. Delicious ☺ I was surprised that these were a 1500 yen lunch…
Thank you for the meal. It was really delicious and I would love to visit again! The next day… I enjoyed breakfast with what I purchased ♪ Thank you for reading till the end. Please subscribe to the channel and give us a high rating. I hope to see you in the next video…
