🇩🇪 Bonn Christmas Markets 2023 – Germany Walking Tour in 4K HDR 60fps

Here I am walking in Bonn, Germany, through the city center with its Christmas Markets on a rainy December night in 2023. Our walk starts from close to the city center, then I head to the amazingly lit up Münsterplatz, where I explore the surrounding Christmas markets at Bottlerplatz and Friedensplatz and a little bit of the old town at Dreieck in the end. Please also enjoy the city’s spectacular Christmas lights on this walk, with plenty of handmade goods and delicious food for sale everywhere. With 165 market stalls, the city centre is transformed into small Christmas villages bathed in a golden sea of lights. The central squares are filled with stalls selling Christmas decorations, arts and crafts. Founded in the 1st century BC, Bonn is one of the oldest cities in Germany. From 1597 to 1794, Bonn was the capital of the Electorate of Cologne and the residence of the Archbishops and Prince Electors of Cologne. From 1949 to 1990, Bonn was the capital of West Germany, and in 1949, Germany’s current constitution, the Basic Law, was proclaimed in the city. The period when Bonn was the capital of West Germany is known by historians as the Bonn Republic. The city is also known for being the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven.
