Today I arrived at Salcedo Food Market in Manila to try some delicious street food. I made the goal of seeing how many items I could eat within a $10.00 budget. Make sure to watch until the end to see if I was successful! (Also, the market was filled with a huge range of delicous treats from a range of cuisines)

This is one of MANY videos in I have in stall for you in the Philippines, so here is my playlist with them all:

  2. Thanks guys for watching! I really appreciate the support from all over the Philippines who have tuned in📺!

Do you want me to do more food based vlogs? Let me know below with your suggestions and I will pick one of them to do as a video! (I am back in PH early next year!)

  3. Huge respect to you for trying to learn and speaking Tagalog frequently. Also, that coconut drink was extremely expensive at almost $10 wowza! Is that the standard price or did they gouge you? lol Oh I didnt realize that was the tally so far.

  4. 500 pesos is too much for a day for solo. 100 pesos / meal is enough 3xmeal/ day. you still have 200pesos for snacks😊 you can survive in ph for a lifetime for $10/day. 🤙😎

  5. The cheapest kind of food in the Philippines are things that are served on a stick. (Mostly fried things) Carinderia food ( a variety of fish, pork, veggies and chicken) are affordable everyday dishes that are normally eaten with rice. During the 80's, fastfood (western style) became the prevalent type of food that Filipinos began to crave. An example is Jollibee and Mc Donalds. Filipino cuisine became stagnant due to that. By the 2000's Filipino expat workers (OverseasFilipinoWorkers) began teaching new dishes to their countrymen which lead to a revolution of sorts, incorporating dishes from countries and cooking styles to local dishes
