Gifu Castle offers a commanding view of Gifu City from its impressive vantage point on top of the mountain. Standing atop Mt. Kinka, Gifu Castle was the home base of one of Japan’s great military commanders, Oda Nobunaga and was said to be unassailable. Gifu Castle is accessible from Gifu Park via Mt. Kinka Ropeway. From the upper room of the keep, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city and beyond. Enjoy watching and hope you like it.
